The Prophets Anointing insists the mantle is never the point, Christ is. Twenty lines on power, obedience, and the altar underneath both, gathered out of sequence.
Every true prophetic life eventually disappears so the voice announced can remain standing. That's the whole argument, compressed into twenty lines, deliberately reshuffled so no single one reads as the conclusion.
"Before the prophet speaks, there is a throne. Before the mantle falls, there is an altar. Before power becomes visible, there is surrender."
"The prophet is powerful only while he remains unable to make power his possession."
"The word belongs to God. The people belong to God. The gift belongs to God. The future belongs to God. Even the prophet belongs to God."
"The book will have failed if it makes you more impressed with prophets but less afraid of misrepresenting God."
"A prophet is not distinguished by information, but by invasion."
"The prophetic office is not an enlargement of personal importance. It is the end of private importance."
"Revelation is a demand disguised as light."
"The word does not belong to the prophet. The prophet belongs to the word."
"A river is not explained by the place where it becomes visible. It must be traced to its source."
"The prophet is not the source of the word. He is the consequence of it."
"He must increase, but I must decrease. His decrease was not a personality preference. It was the required geometry of true witness."
"Power becomes corrupt the moment it is required to prove the man carrying it."
"Anointing is not heaven's agreement with the prophet's ambition. It is heaven's claim against it."
"The most dangerous prophet is not the one without power. It is the one who still has influence after obedience has ceased to govern him."
"The prophet is not proved by how often he speaks, but by how completely speech remains under command."
"False calling enlarges the ego immediately. True calling exposes its inadequacy."
"A title can be chosen in a moment. An office must survive the God who assigned it."
"The cross is not the death of prophetic power. It is the death of the man who would misuse it."
"The prophet who can no longer be corrected has already begun prophesying from a throne God never gave him."
"Receive the prophet as one sent by the throne. Never receive him as the throne itself."
